5.4.3.62.1 语义定义（Semantic definition）
IfcRelVoidsElement 是建筑元素和一个开口元素之间的对象化关系，它在元素中创建一个空隙。它是一对一的关系。此关系暗示了元素和开口几何体之间的布尔减法运算。
如图 5.4.3.62.A 所示，在墙体中插入空隙由 IfcRelVoidsElement 关系表示。墙体中的开口由 IfcWall - IfcRelVoidsElement - IfcOpeningElement 的模式定义。
