5.4.3.63.1 语义定义（Semantic definition）
场地是土地的一个定义区域，可能被水覆盖，项目建设将在其上完成。场地可用于建造、改造或拆除建筑物，或用于其他与建筑相关的开发。
场地的精确地理空间信息应从地理参考实体中派生，这些实体使用一组基准（参见 IfcCoordinateOperation 和 IfcCoordinateReferenceSystem）将 IfcProject 与现实世界关联起来。
在小型项目（例如，建筑物）中，当未按上述推荐提供地理参考时，IfcSite 的 Longitude、Latitude 和 Elevation 属性可用于近似指示场地位置。此方法无意取代精确地理参考，但对于不需要精确地理空间信息（例如，日照模拟）的用例仍然有用。如果断言，Longitude、Latitude 和 Elevation 建立 WGS84 中的一个点，该点是 IfcSite 的 LocalPlacement 的点 0.,0.,0. 的位置。
场地由 IfcLocalPlacement 定义的几何放置，应始终相对于包含该场地的空间结构元素，或者绝对放置，即相对于项目表示上下文建立的世界坐标系。在 IfcProject.RepresentationContexts 建立的世界坐标系，可能包括在世界坐标系 XY 平面内的真北定义，如果提供，可以在 IfcGeometricRepresentationContext.TrueNorth 处获得。

- COMPLEX = 场地复合体
- ELEMENT = 场地
- PARTIAL = 场地段
图 5.4.3.63.A 显示了 IfcSite 作为空间结构的一部分。除了逻辑空间结构外，还显示了放置层次结构。在此示例中，空间结构层次结构和放置层次结构是相同的。
